Klepinger Family Reunion Aug. 2010

We went to the Canyon Point campground by Forest Lakes on the Rim. Despite a few rainy moments, it was lots of fun to gather together. Here are a few random shots of beloved family members...and our new deluxe tent that was roomy and nice (although when the lightning got close and scarey, I made a beeline for Bob's silver Airstream!)

August Missionary Zone Conference Luncheon

We decided to go with a "picnic" theme and had some fun with it. It was held on a Monday so there wasn't lots of time to prepare ahead, so we let a local grocery store prepare the lunchmeat and cheese trays for sub sandwiches. There were cupcakes decorated with "ants" on the tables and even a wheelbarrow full of iced beverages. The missionaries loved the homemade ice cream that was wheeled in at the end of the meal. A highlight for me was meeting Hermana Chaca from Lima, Peru who is a missionary serving in Payson right now. She remembered our son, Tim, when he served in Callao. Fun!

Five year old fun

Stryder and Saylor came to visit for a few days and we really enjoyed their youthful energy and wit and imaginations! They are always so delightful to have around the house. Love you both so much!

24th of July visitors

It was so much fun to have Tim's family and niece Taila Klepinger (Jay's oldest daughter) and her friend Brittany drop by. We attended the morning parade, some went to the arts and crafts fair, and then a big storm hit in the afternoon, so everyone came to our house to take cover! We ate warm soup and homemade bread and watched the lightening show out the dining room window. Good fun!

Shelbie Week

Cousins.

Playing in the creek
Finding baby birds
Learning that their mother
is the best provider after all.

Spending time together
listening to music
riding go-carts
washing dishes side by side
talking about clothes and hair.

Going to the temple
helping by proxy to open the gate
thru their selfless service
for precious female souls.

Cousins.

Peach roses

This morning it was early, Mark had just left for work and I took some clippers out of the tool shed to do some debudding on my roses. This triple cluster of roses (in various stages of growth) just took my breath away. A young new bud, one just beginning to open and one in full bloom. Made me think about the "circle of life" and rejoice in the season I am blessed to be living in...a grandmother. In full bloom. Enjoying her posterity. Grateful for the years of blessings that have come my way. Thank you, Father.

4th of July snaps

Okay, I didn't capture everyone that was here. But they were...and we loved them all.

Jenny's Birthday Pinata

Thank you Tim and Cindy for bringing a way cool pinata up for Jenny's birthday celebration. We love that Mexican tradition!
