"Within the family is the best place to learn to love others the way Heavenly Father loves each one of us."

The Wallow Fire

These are some pictures taken by others of the raging inferno just 60 miles southeast of us. The first picture is just a few miles south of the turnoff to Sunrise Ski Resort.

This is our view of it from our back yard. The "look" changes all day long. Big cumulus clouds build during the morning till midafternoon, then they usually breakup.

Taylor Stake Pioneer Trek 2011

Today is the big day. Calla donned her outfit, looked in the mirror and rolled her eyes, then joined her friends at the stake center.

Quite the fashion show!

All aboard!

Calla's 8th Grade Promotion

There was an 8th grade promotion party at the Snowflake Social Hall two days before the ceremony. I helped oversee it, had a great committee of Mom's, and we had a good time putting it on. I forgot to take pictures after it started. We had a dance out on the outside pavilion, lots of pizza and pop, cotton candy, a movie in the theatre, cupcakes, popcorn, etc. Fun night!
As you can tell by the flag, it was extremely windy, so Calla opted to wear her hair up. Lots of girls were constantly pulling their hair out of their faces, so she was glad she did.

Pretty girls!

All our kids are Snowflake Lobos at heart! Congratulations for Calla, you're now ready for high school!

A new shirt from Grandma Charlotte.

A quilt I made her with all her old t-ball team, swim team, city ball team, misc. tee shirts thru the years. She cuddles up in it all the time now when she's reading. I think it was a hit!
